Closest village and town

Cabris
Our closest village Cabris (the small goat in provancale) is from the Middle Ages and located on a hill-top with a spectacular view. Cabris is almost as charming as the very well-known St. Paul de Vence, but there is a major advantage – few tourists. Although the village is small, there is a bakery, grocer’s shop, news stand with foreign papers, pharmacy, Post Office, and cafés in addition to several excellent restaurants. The most famous Côte d´Azur landscape architect, Jean Mus, has his office in Cabris.

Grasse
Grasse, the capital of perfumes, lies around the corner. A favourable climate with dry summers, mild winters and a lot of sun makes the slopes around the city perfect to grow the flowers necessary for perfume manufacture. Smell the roses, irises and not the least jasmine (Chanel No. 5). During the winters, the orange blossoms spread their fragrance.
You can mix your own perfume in one of the major perfumeries, Fragonard, Galimard or Molinard. You can also have an excellent meal at the 2.5 Michelin star Bastide Saint Antoine (www.jacques-chibois.com). In season, their special truffle menu is a special treat.
