The area offers a lot of exiting destinations for excursions. You will find several small charming villages in the area. All villages have their own markets selling spices, baskets, tissues, paintings etc. Monaco and the Italian border are also close by. There are prehistoric caves open for the public only a few kilometres from the property. The area around Domaine du Bois d’Amont is very nice for hiking. It is absolutely worth visiting the big Gourdon canyon with its beautiful mountain scenery or Gorges du Verdon, the French parallel to Grand Canyon. In about half an hour you reach the Mediterranean coastline offering fine sandy beaches and rocky beaches with possibilities for different kinds of water sports.
